1. Who we are
Kahn Haus ("the Haus", "we") operates this website, private member portals for clients, brokers, developers and investors, and a desk application for Haus staff. This policy explains what we collect through them and how we use it.
2. This website
The public site collects nothing about you unless you send a request. The access request form collects your name, organisation, email address, telephone if you give it, your role and your message. We use it only to consider and respond to your request. The site sets no advertising cookies and carries no third-party trackers. Our hosting provider records ordinary server logs (IP address, time, page) for security and to keep the service running.
3. The portals
If the Haus admits you, we hold your account information (name, organisation, role, email address and the access code the Haus issues to you) and what you do in the portals: the matters, requests, listings, documents and messages you create or open, and the audit records the Haus keeps of those actions.
4. Connected mailboxes
If you choose to connect your own Google or Microsoft mailbox from the "Connect your mailbox" card, we access only the messages exchanged between your address and the Haus's own addresses at kahnhaus.com. We do not read, store or index any other message. We use that access to file your correspondence with the Haus against the matters you work on and to let you write to the Haus from your own address inside the portal. You can disconnect at any time; disconnecting deletes the copied correspondence and the stored credential, and revokes our access with the provider where the provider supports it. Kahn Haus's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. How we protect it
Mailbox credentials are stored only as encrypted data, using keys held in Google Cloud Key Management Service, and are never written to logs. Access to the desk and portals is by role, and staff actions on member data are recorded in an append-only audit trail. Data is hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure.
6. Sharing
We share information only with the service providers who run the platform for us (cloud hosting, email delivery, identity providers you choose to connect) and where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
7. Retention and deletion
Access requests are kept while they are under consideration and for a reasonable period afterwards. Account and matter records are kept for as long as the relationship with the Haus continues and as required for our legal and regulatory obligations. Copied correspondence from a connected mailbox is deleted when you disconnect. To ask what we hold about you, to correct it or to request deletion, write to desk@kahnhaus.com.
8. Changes
We will post any change to this policy on this page with a new effective date.
